Kinder Chair with tray
FAS Kinder Chairs have a firm, padded vinyl covered back and seat to aid
alignment of the pelvis and femurs as well as to provide a symmetrical
sitting base. Seat depth is adjustable to assure that the thigh is well sup -
ported to prevent undue internal rotation stress on the femoral heads and
reduce the effect of tight hamstrings or extensor spasticity on the pelvic
and thoracic posture. Removable abduction block at the front of the seat,
together with a pelvic belt decrease the tendency for the child to push out
of the chair into extension. The Back Angle can be adjusted to maintain
vertical alignment of the pelvis and spine. The adjustable Footrest makes
it possible to position the hips and knees at 90 degrees which also aids in
the decrease of extensor tone of the hips. Additional pelvic stability and
femoral alignment can be obtained by adding the optional Pelvic-Femoral
Stabilizer with Abductor.
Model SK1, Low Kinder Chair is designed to fit under pre-school tables. The
stability of this chair makes it easy for young children to learn to transfer
in and out of the chair safely.
Model SK2, High Kinder Chair has longer legs which adjust for use with
standard tables. It is ideal for children who have outgrown conventional high
chairs but still need the support of an adjustable seat, back and armrests to
interact with the family at the table for meals and activity.
