The BAFFIN Plus is a seating system which ensures that the benefits of
existing rehabilitation are maintained; made possible by the construction
of its innovative back support which simulates the human backbone. A
perfect solution for children between the ages of 2 and 15 who are unable
to sit or stand on their own, the BAFFIN Plus enables them to sit properly.
It also doubles as a standing device. Designed for people with abnormal
curvature of the spine and muscle dysfunction it is recommended for
children suffering from celebral palsy, muscle dystrophy, palsies of dif -
ferent origins, paresis, spina bifida.
Differing from the BAFFIN Standing Seat the BAFFIN Plus has additional
features including a height adustable seat (from 40cm to 80cm) and
handles and wheels with hand brake so that it can be used outdoors. The
seat's multiple positions are controlled by remote control.

The innovative character of the BAFFIN Plus lies in the resemblance
of the back support to the human spine. Advanced backsupport enable
individual fitting of the back, shoulder, pelvis and thigh supports to the
shape required in the process of treatment of patients with movement
dysfunction.
Each seat is initially individually adjusted by a herapist. Then every
few months or so it is adjusted again to fit the new, improved posture
of the patient.
The BAFFIN Plus Standing Seat eases:
the process of seating a child or moving it out of the seat.
everyday care (including feeding , dressing and washing).
making eye-contact at equal level helping the patient to be more par -
ticipative during exercises and better integrating the child amongst
peers while playing.
