The Kaye Posterior Walkers are designed to facilitate children and adult
roller bearing wheels
with cerebral palsy to ambulate with better alignment and gait. It is avail-
able in three configurations.
The R-Series four-wheeled walker moves forward with each step
the child takes. The ratchet rear wheels prevent backward movement of
the walker so the child walks safely with more natural rhythm.
The Front swivel-wheeled walker increases ease of manoeuvrabil-
ity and turning. The front swivel wheels can be locked for straight ahead
tracking. For all walkers the base increases as the height raises, assuring
both anterior-posterior and lateral stability regardless of the size of the
child. It is an easy transition from the KAYE Posture Control Walker to
crutches or independent walking since the child has established appro-
priate alignment, weight bearing, postural reactions and confidence.
All walkers fold for easy transport and storage. Kaye Walker is available
in 6 sizes (size ½ to size 5) to cater for small children to adult. Acces-
sories such as the pelvic stabilizer and forearm supports are available
to enhance the function of the Kaye Walker. The walking frame is made
of lightweight, thick-walled aluminium tubing and has been proved to
be a long-lasting product over many years.
